Mountaineer
All climbers, whether they be amateurs of the Alpine or the Pyrenean mountain ranges, have as many dreams as there are summits to climb. Mountaineering is taking the time to live a real adventure. Becoming a mountaineer, is like making a journey to discover oneself.
Guiding in my view is like climbing in the traditional alpine way.
As I work my way around the Alps and Pyrenees, I am constantly on the lookout for routes that are at their best to climb. The summer time is ideal for climbing in the mountains: the mountain huts open up for the season and the weather is more stable. Now's the time for climbing long routes on the more demanding faces and of course the classical summits such as the Vignemal, the Meije, the Grandes Jorasses, to name but a few.
Each moment I spend in the mountains is unique.
Whether it be walking up the glacier, setting out at daybreak for a mountain ascent; climbing a normal route; it's all about sharing experiences. Being able to guide in the mountains is a privilige that I never forget, nor take for granted.
